Today, on April 2, the World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) 2026, is being being t'o highlight the rights and needs of autistic people. Established by the UN in 2007, the day focuses on promoting neurodiversity, fostering inclusive policies, and accelerating sustainable development goals for neuro-divergent individuals, supported by World Health Organization (WHO) initiatives on health and societal integration.' Here, in order to celebrate the observance, I reproduce the following write-up. earlier published at slideshate.net titled 'A sketch note on children with autism and using education as a therapy to improve their functionality" "Education, when used as treatment for children with autism by combining designed classroom instructional activities with other therapies to mitigate the disorder and problem behaviours associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) leading towards functional literacy and quality of life, it becomes education therapy," I wrote.
Here is the sketch note to understand various aspects of ASD at a glance.

Lets resolve to provide better access to education, health care, early identification, and nurturing care to children with autism..
