The World Teachers' Day 2025 is being observed on October 5 with the theme “Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession,” which highlights the importance of co-construction of knowledge, teamwork and shared expertise for educational improvement and leadership. This year, the global event will be held on 3 October in Addis Ababa, hosted by the African Union during the Pan-African Conference on Teacher Education (PACTED)
