The work of this blogger, Dr Lalit Kishore, “In-service Training areas preferences of primary teachers” ( The Educational Review. 104 (12). Pp. 13-15, 1995) has been cited in paper ‘Effective of In-Service Training of Diets’ published in Edulaspire: An International E-Journal. (see inset clipping)
According to Inshore, the basic training need of primary teachers is how to effectively activity-based learning using activity sheets so as to make learning process based or experiential.
It is said the educational activity sheets are perfect for learning in classroom and home both. The activity sheets, describe the activity, followed by specific learning outcome and exercises for practice. The range of learning at the primary level may include language learning (literacy) to number skills (numeracy) supported by independent practice. The activity can be a play, singing, hands-on, multi-sensory experience, drawing, writing, reading, listening, etc. to construct knowledge and its practice to internalize constructed knowledge.
In primary teachers’ training, teachers must be trained in preparing and transacting activity sheets and do lesson studies in peer group setting, observe Dr Kishore
